Adverts On My Website - How To Get Your Webmaster Revenue Up
If you are thinking how do I get adverts on my website, then you are probably at the stage where you are getting a decent number of visitors to your site - and believe me, this is now a time to step back and be proud of your accomplishment.
It is amazing to me how many people don't get a lot of traffic to their sites and still think they are going to make loads of money by placing adverts in prime positions and the advertisers will be queueing up to spend money on it - well, it just doesn't happen.
It really is hard enough to get people interested in advertising on your site when you have decent visitor numbers, so you really must achieve this first so you can brag about the positives and benefits to potential customers.
This is because one of the first things advertisers are going to ask you is how many potential buyers of their products are visiting your site. If you don't have a decent answer, then you are digging a very large hole for yourself.
Of course, you can't tell them specifically how many buyers hit your site (as this would be very difficult to do) but getting loads of visitors to a site in a niche or relevant area and showing them the prrof of this is a very good start.
The main thing to think about here is Visitors=traffic=page views=some interest=clicks=advertisers=money. Simple!
Well, not exactly. You see, the fundamental point here is that you have to match your content and ad placement to please your visiting audience first and then your paying audience second.
If you want to place ads on your site then they have to generate a decent level of interest for your advertisers, as well as pleasing your visitors - if your visitors are happy they will more than likely come back and click again!
You need to test out ads in different positions, around good text content and mix in the ads with the message and colour scheme of your site. Ads that stand out DO NOT WORK these days.
It is far better to run adverts that say 'nice design' and 'mixes in well' than ads that say 'oh dear, let's get away from this 'in ya face stuff.' Any negative thought is not going to get a click for your advertiser so you must offer very specific design instructions to your advertisers and tell them it is for their benefit - your long-term income stream may just depend on it.
We have loads of advertising and web revenue related stuff on the site, so please do take a look at our news section or why not receive the free ad sales report. Finally, do take a look at the information about our new ARC service - it is going to change the way you think about your online business!
